Pearl PBC120B Primero Cajon, Abstract Red

With its built-in bass port and a set of fixed snare wires, the Pearl Primero Cajon delivers a wider range of percussion sounds than many other cajons. The bass sound is deep and rich. The Pearl Primero Abstract Red Cajon has an MDF (Medium-density fiberboard) body with a Meranti faceplate. Its red print truly stands out, though the sound may be what gets you noticed most.

 The Meranti wood used for the faceplate is known for its hardness and straight grain; ideal characteristics for a Cajon. The two fixed internal snare wires are held against that faceplate to give a crispy response.

 On the back, a bass port is built into the design to extend that sweet low-frequency content. The abstract red finish combined with the ebony front plate completes the look of this instrument.
