The AZ2204NW features an American Basswood body with a Quilted Maple top bolted to an S-Tech roasted maple oval C shaped neck with a compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, mother of pearl dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include a DiMarzio The Tone Zone humbucker pickups at the bridge, a DiMarzio True Velvet single-coil pickup in the middle and DiMarzio Air Norton humbucker pickups at the neck positions, a T1502 tremolo bridge, a Graph Tech® nut, an angled output jack and Gotoh® MG-T locking tuning machines.

S-Tech wood roasted maple neck offers stability and durability

Ibanez enhanced the AZ47P1QM’s roasted maple neck with their S-Tech wood nitrogen-heating treatment, which increases its stability, durability, water resistance, and tolerance to temperature changes. The neck is then sealed with oil, resulting in a well-played feel.

Performance-enhancing premium hardware delivers an exceptional playing experience

Developed in collaboration with Gotoh, the AZ47P1QM’s T1502 tremolo bridge features machined steel saddles and a die-cast zinc tremolo block, ensuring quick response and amazing articulation.
