The Enya EM-X1E acoustic guitar is manufactured with the KOA HPL(High Pressure Laminated) wood material. HPL is a revolutionary material used in manufacturing guitars which was first developed by Martin Guitar Company. Enya is the second company to successfully manufacturing their guitar using the HPL material.

The Enya EM-X1 uses Black Richlite for the bridge and fingerboard. Richlite is an incredibly durable, extremely versatile, and highly sustainable material made from resin-infused paper. It performs just as well (acoustically) as natural ebony wood as well as prevents scratches on the fingerboard. The advantage of using the Richlite is it does not shrink, warp or twist due to the differences in temperature.
